Description
Masses of glossy red buds in mid winter are followed by an abundance of purple flowers in mid spring. These waxy blooms flower for an extended period complimented by a backdrop of fresh, green and fine foliage creating a wonderful display.
A rounded shrub with waxy flowers growing to approximately 2m high and 1.5m wide. Prefers an open sunny or partly shaded position and grows in a wide range of free-draining soils. Tolerant of hot dry conditions and has a low water requirement once established.
